Now, using a ten minute, minimally invasive procedure, veterinarians can implant a SQ fluid administration tube which will allow owners to easily administer SQ fluids at home with no pain to the pet and less stress on the client. 

The GIF-Tube Kit®  (Item #3010) consists of 4 implantable grade nine inch silicone tubes that are specially fenestrated for this procedure.

The proximal end of the tube consist of a luer hub secured to a skirt which is easily sutured to the patient.

The kit contains a stainless stylet which will allow the tube to be passed under the skin in the same manner as an IV catheter is placed.

Fluid is administered via a needleless system to avoid contamination. Doctor and client literature is also provided. Client and patient acceptance has been excellent.

If you are re-using fluids with the GIF-Tube, you are at risk of contamination!
